Irma Fraigan

It is my pleasure to once again, serve Valley West on the UTLA Board of Directors. This is a position I have taken very seriously and I pledge to continue representing Valley West members with honor and dignity. Valley West is currently the strongest and best organized area in UTLA, due to the efforts of Gregg Solkovits; our wonderful area chair. It is with a great deal of confidence and admiration that I recommend Gregg Solkovits for Secondary V.P.

 


Another fine Valley West person is Leonard Segal, candidate for Substitute director. Leonard is relentless in his efforts to improve working conditions for all substitute teachers. If I were a substitute, I would want Leonard to represent me. I urge all substitutes to re-elect Leonard Segal.

As an early childhood education teacher and immediate past chair of the UTLA Early Childhood Education Committee, I can state, without hesitation, that Juanita Garcia is the best candidate for Board of Directors, Early Childhood Education. Juanita has a vast knowledge of issues unique to early childhood education. Juanita will represent ECE teachers with honesty, dignity, and hard work. She will be an outspoken advocate for Early Childhood Educators and all members of UTLA. With Juanita on the Board of Directors UTLA will finally have an Early Childhood representative who will do the job right.
