An Experienced Leader and Advocate
As the representative for Early Childhood Educators on the Board of Directors, it is my desire to bring the respect back to our profession. It is my plan to make a difference in the lives of all Early Childhood Educators within the LAUSD.
Early Childhood teachers lay the foundation for learning for all young children. We are the most important teachers children will have during their course of education. We deserve recognition for all we do for tomorrow’s leaders.
For too long of a time we have worked as second class teachers for a district that does not care about the needs of the students or teachers. UTLA needs a voice for Early Childhood Educators.
I AM THAT VOICE!
Early Childhood Educators need a strong person to fight for our rights within UTLA and LAUSD.
I AM THAT PERSON!
I plan on working hard to organize centers for a stronger union, for greater member services and participation, and a strong force of unity.
UTLA Early Childhood Educators need to be a local, state, and national powerhouse. With my work within the NEA, CTA, AFT, and CFT, we can achieve our goals.
I AM THE REPRESENTATIVE
YOU NEED.
“Juanita is a tireless advocate for young children and their families. She understands the issues facing early childhood teachers, who must teach their students and also educate and assist their parents..”
--Janet Davis, Chair, Elementary Committee
"Juanita Garcia is the best person to represent Early Childhood Education Teachers on the UTLA Board of Directors. Her great knowledge of issues unique to Early Childhood Education will prove to be an asset to UTLA. She is honest, hard working, and full of integrity."
--Irma Fraigun, UTLA Board of Directors Valley West Area; Immediate Past Chair, UTLA Early Childhood Education Committee
