Three years ago, I campaigned as a Board of Directors candidate promising you that I would make sure your concerns were heard and remedied.

 

I can state confidently that I have served your best interest with vigilance and integrity. I have fulfilled this promise by:

  • Serving as a member of the Assessment Committee and Assessment Task Force where we were successful in reducing the number of periodic assessments administered.
  • Facilitating, developing, and revising the School-wide Discipline Policy to reflect the needs of teachers and students.
  • Fighting and mobilizing with UTLA leadership for an 8% increase in salary, full health benefits, and a living contract.
  • Meeting with Local District 8 Superintendent and Directors to keep the integrity of the Stull Evaluation process.
  • Continuing to articulate opposition to mandated programs.
  • Successfully meeting with faculties of various school sites to resolve issues and address concerns.
  • Continuing to organize and strengthen the Harbor Area.

Our present leadership is on the right track. We should continue the work we have begun and more. I ask for your vote of confidence once again.
