I am proud to say that the present leadership has done just that. For the first time in our union’s history, decisions about contract demands went to the membership. All sites were asked for input; all committees were asked for input; and all input was heard. As part of your Board of Directors, I worked hard at every board meeting, house meeting and special session to convey your concerns and interests.

For the last 28 years, some of the ways I have served were as:

• Teacher and Chapter Chair ( Wilshire Crest Elementary School)
• West Area Director
• West Area Treasurer
• Member of the UTLA House of Representatives
• Member of the Salary Appeals Committee
• Member of the Grievance Review Committee
• Delegate to the 2006 AFT convention

I am a leader that believes in our union and our members. I want to continue to serve you on the Board of Directors.
